The 5th Congress of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK) Held
Before the event, participants of the congress visited the Grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honor, paying their respects and laying a wreath at his monument. They also visited the Alley of Martyrs, honoring the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s independence and territorial integrity, and placed a wreath at the “Eternal Flame” monument.
Following this, ASK President Mammad Musayev officially opened the congress, which began with the playing of the Azerbaijani national anthem. It was noted that as part of the state support system for entrepreneurship, initiatives such as subsidized loans for investment projects, the creation of industrial parks, agro-parks, business incubators, export missions, and other measures play a crucial role in ensuring the sustainable development of entrepreneurship and increasing the private sector’s contribution to the economy.
As a result of targeted measures, the share of the private sector has risen to nearly 84% of GDP and 76% in employment.
The congress also featured speeches by Selçuk Akat, Chairman of the Turkey-Azerbaijan Business Council (DEİK), Elguja Meladze, President of the Georgian Employers Association, and Vyacheslav Pshenichnikov, Vice President of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (MKPP), who wished the congress success.
Following the speeches, Mammad Musayev presented his report, noting that the Azerbaijani Confederation of Entrepreneurs actively participates in the implementation of all decisions and programs aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and developing the national economy. The confederation currently includes over 6,000 entrepreneurial entities, including about 70 economic and social associations, holdings, unions, and non-governmental organizations, as well as major companies, banks, and insurance organizations.
Mammad Musayev provided information on the work done by the confederation since the previous congress. During the open vote, the congress delegates unanimously elected Mammad Musayev as the President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan for another term.
