CHAIRMAN

Vugar Zakir oglu Abbasov was born on April 12, 1974, in the city of Nakhchivan. From 1981 to 1991, he studied at Secondary School No.7 in Nakhchivan and graduated with honors. He attended Nakhchivan State University from 1991 to 1996, earning a degree in Accounting, Control, and Analysis of Economic Activity from the Faculty of Economics, graduating with a red diploma. From 1998 to 2001, he completed a degree in Law from the Faculty of Economics and Law at Nakhchivan State University, also with a red diploma. Since 2008, he has been a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Economics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. In 2015, he defended his doctoral thesis titled “Entrepreneurship Development in Regional Conditions” and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Economics. He is the author of up to 10 scientific articles and has participated in numerous international conferences. He has organized, participated in, and led many social and business projects. He is the founder of the “Cahan Group of Companies.” Since 2014, he has served as the Chairman of the Board of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Entrepreneurs Confederation.
